Our one-bedroom Shearwater Scenic Villa was very spacious (the bedroom was enormous), very private and had a wonderful view - so it was worth the money for these things alone. However, it was NOT luxury accommodation. The fitout and equipment is plain - which was fine with us - but we found the beds very low, very hard and rather squeaky. Apart from the beds, it's mainly the little things that let the place down. Despite being self-catering and a long way from shops, there were hardly any staple food items provided (although we did enjoy the bananas on arrival and the eggs that turned up mysteriously half way through). What is provided is of poor quality (e.g. individual packets of International Roast coffee!). Also, guests should not have to buy their own scourers in order to clean the pots and pans after use. Furthermore, there were no insect screens on some windows and no capsules for the mozzie zapper. Having said all of that, we will definitely be back!
